The Raconteurs

The Raconteurs [ də ˌ ː ɹækɑ ntɝ ː z] is a blues rock band from the United States. In the Australian market, they are called " The Saboteurs " because there already a band called " Raconteurs " exists.

Band History

The Raconteurs were founded in 2005 and published in early February 2006 her first single " Steady, As She Goes" limited edition 7 " vinyl. This was sold out in no time and was auctioned at high prices on the Internet.

Designed the band was a side project, since all members are already in another, more well-known band or are active as a solo artist: Jack White in the White Stripes (until 2011 ), Brendan Benson as a solo artist and Jack Lawrence and Patrick Keeler at the Greenhornes. The first Raconteurs album Broken Boy Soldiers was released on 12 May 2006.

The band's music reflects White's love for blues and rock 'n ' roll as well as Benson's ability to indie rock songwriting. The lyrics are mostly about love and biographical details. The band's name is French ( with English article ), meaning " the narrator ." In April 2006, there will be a name change, but only in Australia, where already known a jazz band from Queensland under the name of The Raconteurs: In Sydney, Perth and around The Raconteurs are therefore called " The Saboteurs ".

On 25 March 2008 they released their second album, Consolers of the Lonely.
