The Revolution Smile is a Indie, founded in 2000 / alternative metal band from Sacramento, USA.
History
The band was founded in 2000 by former Far guitarist Shaun Lopez, after he played a short time with an early version of Rival Schools, led by former Quicksand frontman Walter Schreifels and has in several bands, including the Foo Fighters, played.
In November 2000, published The Revolution Smile At War With Plastic, one produced by Lopez 6- song EP, the animation Records spread worldwide. In January 2001, The Revolution Smile reinforced their lineup with Octavio Gallardo on bass, Tim McCord on guitar, and Jeremy White on drums. They started on the sophomore to At War With Plastic to work. We Are In This Alone was completed in the fall of 2001 and should be published shortly thereafter.
In January 2002, landed We Are In This Alone in the hands of Geffen Records, who took the band under contract. Geffen did a remix of We Are In This Alone publish, the band but wanted to record a new album.
In July 2002, the band Above The Noise with Dave Sardy and Shaun Lopez in the co -production on. In January 2003, Andy Wallace Above The Noise mixed. Henceforth, The Revolution Smile played on the side of the Deftones, Dredg, The Music, Marilyn Manson, Korn and others around her album introduce nationally.
September 2003 The Revolution Smile toured with the Deftones and A Perfect Circle. Also they played in the Jimmy Kimmel show. A short time was replaced by Jeremy White Stephen Hoke.
January 2004, the band got out of her recording contract.
In July 2004 the band played on the Warped Tour at the side of My Chemical Romance, Rise Against, Atmosphere and From Autumn To Ashes.
In June 2005, the band with the album Summer Ever was done, which was also produced by Shaun Lopez.
Lopez then took to produce other bands that time. Among other things, Giant Drag and fifth album Deftones Saturday Night Wrist.
In August 2006, it was announced on the radio station Indie 103.1 that Summer Ever will be released in September on animation Records.
