The Scandinavian Journal of Economics

The Scandinavian Journal of Economics (Swedish: Ekonomisk Tidskrift ), formerly Swedish Journal of Economics, is an economics journal which is published by Wiley- Blackwell with four issues per year.

History

The Ekonomisk Tidskrift was founded in 1899 by David Davidson and therefore one of the oldest economics journals worldwide. The magazine was out until 1939 basically to David Davidson's retirement at the age of 85 years through this alone. In its early days, all items of Ekonomisk Tidskrift were written in Swedish, the first article in English was published in 1947. In 1965 the name of the magazine was eventually changed to Swedish Journal of Economics and the language of the journal changed from Swedish to English before the magazine its current name in 1976 - The Scandinavian Journal of Economics - accepted. In the course of his long time of publication the contributions of many important economists were published in the Scandinavian Journal of Economics, and his predecessors, including Gustav Cassel, Knut Wicksell, Eli Heckscher, Gunnar Myrdal and Erik Lindahl.

The Scandinavian Journal of Economics is by the editors Richard Friberg ( Stockholm School of Economics ), Matti Liski (Helsinki School of Economics ) and Kjetil Store Latvians ( University of Oslo ), the Journal Manager Faith Short and 23 Associate Editors directed.

Reception

In a study of Kalaitzidakis et al. (2003) documented the Scandinavian Journal of Economics, number 27 of 159 evaluated publications, however, declined in an updated study of Kalaitzidakis et al. (2011) ranked 37 out of 209 compared Publications from. In economics publication ranking of the Tinbergen Institute, the Scandinavian Journal of Economics in category B ('good scientific journals for all research fields of the Tinbergen Institute " ) is performed.
