Action
Bob Carey is released after five years from the prison where he was because of the death of Ringo 's brother, who had harassed his former fiancée Mary. When he comes back to his home, he finds Mary married to the rich farmers Clifford. He is, however, compelled by the tumor illness of his wife, to bring them to the necessary care in the more distant town of Laredo. He sold all his possessions and hires some gunslingers to be safe on the journey; among them Bob Carey. Quickly after the start of the journey you can see the dangers of the desert, the forces of nature and the Indians exposed. Additional explosives involves the internal relations of the group members, which is characterized by psychological and emotional conditions; not only the presence of the former lover of Mary and Clifford's nemesis, but also dubious motives of the other companions - the former army scout Rogers, a friendly Chinese chef and a mestizo - break in quarrels and violence railway. At the end of the trip all at a price paid for their behavior and intentions; only the rancher and his wife reach the city.
Criticism
The lexicon of the International film saw a " routine Western with some unnecessary hardship " .. The AGCM Cinematografiche speak the film a European identity, for he just trying to imitate American models. Praise was especially color photography; Director and presentation are appropriate.
Comments
Italian title is I sette del Texas. The scenes of the run in the credits Andrea Scotti were apparently cut from the final version of the film.
The budget of the film was unusually high for that time.
