The Tolmachevy Sisters

Anastasia Andrejewna and Marija Andrejewna Tolmatschowа (Russian Анастасия Андреевна и Мария Андреевна Толмачёва or Сёстры Толмачёвы / Tolmatschowа sisters; * January 14, 1997 in Kursk ) are singers from Russia. In 2006, she appeared at the age of nine years at the Junior Euro Song Contest 2006 ( JESC ) and reached with the song Wessenni Dschas (Spring Jazz ) the first place.

The song of the two was chosen from 200 other songs in the top 20 of the national selection. In the national final show on June 4, 2006, Anastasia and Maria prevailed over the remaining 20 were allowed and on December 8, Russia represented at the JESC. The two were by far the most points - 154 points with 25 more than second-placed Belarus - and thus brought the victory.

The twins, published in 2007 their first album called Polowinki containing eleven songs.

On 13 May 2009, they were the opening act for the first semi-final of the Euro Vision Song Contest 2009.

On March 8, 2014 it was announced that they will represent Russia at the Euro Vision Song Contest 2014 in Copenhagen with the pop song Shine. They are therefore by Nevena Božović who had represented Serbia at the ESC 2013 in the group Moje 3, the second artist who took part in both the Junior Euro Song Contest as well as the adult's competition.
