The Wachowskis
The Wachowskis are American screenwriters and film directors. They consist of Lana Wachowski ( born June 21, 1965 born as Laurence, meanwhile Larry ) and Andy Wachowski ( born December 29, 1967 Born as Andrew Paul ). World famous they were by the Matrix trilogy.

Life
The Wachowski siblings were born in Chicago and grew up there on along with two sisters at the Beverly neighborhood. They both left school early to work in show business. Before they had success there, they worked as carpenters and recorded at their leisure comics.
They showed early a keen interest in Japanese manga and anime, and were inspired by the anime Ghost in the Shell into a screenplay for the film matrix. Later, the film was produced by Warner Bros.; the leading role played Keanu Reeves, although the Wachowski siblings had originally intended Will Smith for the role of Neo. He had but canceled because he was not convinced by the film concept initially and the role itself did not trust.
Since her breakthrough with the Matrix trilogy, the unpublished scripts from this early period are sought after by movie studios. So the rights to Carnivore, a horror film about an old house whose inhabitants disappear without a trace, were acquired by Trimark. The comic book movie V for Vendetta came in 2006 in the cinemas. Authors of the original comics not the Wachowski siblings, but Alan Moore, artists were here was mainly David Lloyd.
The siblings like to tell claims to multi-part stories: "Because we grew up with comics and the Tolkien trilogy, it is one of our interests to bring multi-part movies in theaters ," says Lana. In 2008 the brothers filmed the anime series Speed Racer.
