The year in which we met is an American comedy film from the year 2008. Directed by Patrick Sisam, who also wrote the screenplay based on the short stories The Year of Getting to Know Us and Star Food by Ethan Canin.
Action
Christopher Rocket - whose childhood is shown in the 1970s in flashbacks - is growing in Florida as an only child. His father is a passionate golfer. Rocket moved to New York City, where he wants to make a career as a writer. He has a girlfriend, Anne, but remains distant to her.
Rocket returns to Florida, to reconcile with his father.

The organizers of the Sundance Film Festival, wrote that the film is a "dark comedy exploring the dynamics of the classic dysfunctional family." Jimmy Fallon plays his role with " delicious subtlety ".
The lexicon of the International film said, " A hard-working to compensation ( TV ) Drama, trying to beat the quieter sounds, but hardly penetrates into the depth of the characters. "

The film was in Florida, including Jacksonville, rotated. Its world premiere took place on 24 January 2007 at the Sundance Film Festival, which was followed by several other film festivals.
