Theater am Olgaeck

The Theater am Olgaeck in Stuttgart was founded in September 2004 by Nelly Eichhorn and is committed to cultural exchange and dialogue with Eastern Europe. There are performances of Eastern European plays and readings, exhibitions and recitals. The program offers Classic and Contemporary, Fun and Challenging. As one of the youngest stages, the theater program reflects the changes in the new Europe and has evolved into a cultural-political platform for contacts and relations with Eastern European countries. The Theater am Olgaeck has established a network of artists and political institutions in Eastern Europe, maintains contacts with partners, invites theater from Eastern European countries for guest appearances, held annually cultural festivals, readings, book presentations, musical evenings and promotes intercultural encounter in Stuttgart.

History

In 1991, Eichhorn Nelly " Nelly's Puppet Theatre" in Lexington, Kentucky. It offered a varied program for children from three years with puppets and dolls. In 1993, " Nelly's Puppet Theatre " to Stuttgart and played as a " theater in the cinema magnifying glass " and later in the studio Landesgirokasse Stuttgart in the King's Road. Since autumn 1996, it plays in addition to as " Ludwigsburg puppet theater " in Ludwigsburg in Marstallstrasse 5 In the fall of 2003 found Nelly's Puppet Theater own venue in Stuttgart in the Charlotte Street 44, near the Charlotte Square.

In September 2004, Nelly Eichhorn founded on the same stage at the theater Olgaeck as a theater for adults. From 2006 to March 2008, there were performances in Stuttgart-Ost theater in the restaurant Friedenau.
