Theo Bos (2011)

Theo Bos ( born October 5, 1965 in Nijmegen, † 28 February 2013 in Elst ) was a Dutch football player and coach. Because of his many years of loyalty to Vitesse Arnhem, both as a player and as a coach, he was known as " Mister Vitesse ».

Playing career

Theo Bos played his whole career at Vitesse Arnhem. He made his debut on 31 August 1983 against FC Wageningen ( 3-0 Vitesse ), his last league game was on 25 March 1998 against NAC Breda ( 4-1 Vitesse ). In the fifteen years of his professional career Bos played six years in the Eerste Divisie and nine years in the Eredivisie. While he was only a league use in the second Dutch league in his first year 1983/84, he was from summer 1985 to summer 1996, constantly starting players and performers and never graduated less than 27 games per season. Only in his last two years as a professional Bos was propagated in the spectator role. His greatest success with Arnhem celebrated the defensive player 1988/89, when he won first place in the First Division and rose. Coaching career

Bos first job as coach was at his home club Vitesse Arnhem, where he was active as a youth coach of the A and B youth. In the meantime, he also worked as assistant coach Ronald Koeman, Mike Snoei and Edward Sturing. In the summer of 2005 left " Mister Vitesse " the club, and went to FC Den Bosch, where he replaced the interim coach Trio Jan van Grinsve, Fred van der Hoorn and Wim van der Horst, to create the re-emergence in the highest Dutch league. In the first year in the Eerste Divisie he led the team to seventh place, in the following year in fifth place. Only in 2008 /09 he led the fcdb in the play-offs for the Eredivisie. After a poor start to the new season Bos was terminated after 9 matches and so far only two victories achieved by the Vitesse managers. Death
