Thilo Berg

Thilo Berg ( born April 23, 1959 in Dortmund ) is a German drummer, who has found in the 1980s, in particular as a big band leader of the Modern Jazz attention.

Life and work

Berg holds a classical studies as a percussionist at Hermann Gschwendtner and was until 2008 occupied the same position from 1981 to 2007 as a solo timpanist and percussionist by the Radio Orchestra of the SWR and worked at the German Radio Philharmonic. In addition, Berg worked in various bands. In 1986, he formed his big band, which worked with guest soloists including Barbara Dennerlein, Ack van Rooyen, Jiggs Whigham, Barbara Morrison, Silvia Droste, Jim Snidero, Slide Hampton, Bob Mintzer, Art Farmer and Bill Ramsey.
