Thomas Byrne (Dublin politician)

Thomas Byrne (Irish Tomás Ó Broin, † March 16, 1978 ) was an Irish politician and sat from 1952 to 1961 in Dáil Éireann, the lower house of the Irish Parliament.

Thomas Byrne was born as the son of Irish politician Alfred Byrne and his wife Elizabeth. In 1952, Byrne was elected as an independent candidate in the by-elections on 12 November in the 14th Dáil Éireann and occupied the vacant seat of his deceased brother Alfred P. Byrne new. After two successful elections in 1954 and 1957, he lost his seat in 1961 for election to the 16th Dáil Éireann.

Byrne had seven siblings. His two brothers Alfred and Patrick were also deputies in Dáil Éireann.
