Thomas Gebauer

Thomas Gebauer (* 30 June 1982 in Augsburg) is an Austrian football goalkeeper. Since 2006 he plays in the SV Ried in the Austrian Bundesliga. The native German has since October 2012, the Austrian citizenship.

Career

Gebauer began his football career in the youth of the TSV Meitingen in Bavaria. In 2001 he joined the German league and played at TSV Aindling. In 2004 it went to the Regionalliga Süd to the amateurs of TSV 1860 Munich, where for a year he guarded the gate. After another year at SpVgg Bayreuth in the German Regionalliga Süd, he moved to Bundesliga side SV Ried to Austria. The Riedern he was up to the injury of the root goalkeeper Hans -Peter Berger in December 2007 goalkeeper. Since then, Gebauer is the number one goal of Rieder. His debut in the Bundesliga were Gebauer a year earlier in the season 2006/ 07, with a 1-1 draw against FK Austria Wien on 27 August 2006. According to the 2008/ 09 season, Thomas Gebauer was voted the best goalkeeper in the Austrian Bundesliga selected. At the end of the 2010/11 season he was with the Austrian Cup winner SV Ried.
