Thomas Jäger

Thomas Hunter ( born October 27, 1976 in Karl- Marx-Stadt ) is a German racing driver. His father Manfred was also formerly racers.

Career

Thomas Hunter began his motorsport career with kart racing. After he went through several karting championships and 1995 German karting was runner-up, he went in 1996 in the Formula Campus one. There he was able to celebrate three wins in his first year, so he could change in 1997 in the Renault Spider Cup. In 1998, he reached the summit in the German Formula 3 Cup. There, he finished a race as the winner, two more on the podium. The following year he improved his previous year and finished ten championship races on the podium, including three victories. This helped him to third championship course.

DTM

2000 Hunter was promoted to the newly founded DTM and drove a Mercedes CLK Mercedes works team HWA AG. However, the task proved to be difficult and hunters could not meet the high expectations. Only towards the end of the season he managed a podium finish at the Nurburgring. After the season, he finished with a clear points behind his team-mate and championship winner Bernd Schneider only the eleventh championship course. So got hunter 2001 just a cockpit in the customer team Persson Motorsport. Guest starts

2004 Hunter had no fixed cockpit. As a guest driver in the Mini Challenge, he was twice victorious. Highlight of the year was the participation by Frank Schmickler and Jonathan Price on a Porsche 996 GT3 RS Team Raeder Motorsport at the 24 -hour race at the Nürburgring. Porsche Carrera Cup and GT series

After hunters in the Mini Challenge now took his first title, he joined us in 2007 in the Porsche Carrera Cup Germany. In his debut season he went one time on the podium, finishing in eleventh championship course. He also participated as a guest to the Mini Challenge and won two races. Even the World Final of the Ferrari Challenge at Mugello, he was back at the start. 2008 hunter again denied a full season in the Porsche Carrera Cup Germany. This time he managed a podium finish. In the drivers' standings, he improved to tenth place. He also participated with Sven Hanna forest as a guest at five races of the ADAC GT Masters part. 2009, there was finally a breakthrough. Hunters succeeded in the Porsche Carrera Cup Germany to win the championship after three wins in nine races. With Freddy Kremer he also denies two race weekends in Oschersleben and at the Lausitzring the ADAC GT Masters. However, all four championship races ended, the duo only in the back of the midfield. In 2011 he took part in three race weekends of the ADAC GT Masters and finished 19th in the overall drivers' standings.
