Thomas Kinkade

Thomas Kinkade ( born January 19, 1958 in Sacramento, California, † April 6, 2012 in Los Gatos, California ) was an American painter. He described himself as " Thomas Kinkade, Painter of Light". He is the author of many popular American pictures. His paintings were sold, among other things by mail order. Dozens of his works have also been published by Schmidt Spiele as puzzles.

Life

Kinkade grew up in the small town of Placerville, California, and graduated from high school in 1976. Subsequently, he attended the University of California, Berkeley and the Art Center College of Design in Pasadena. In 1982 he married his wife Nanette, with whom he had four daughters.
