Thomas Klauser

Thomas Klauser ( born June 9, 1964 in Reit im Winkl ) is a former German ski jumper. He started for the WSV Reit im Winkl. In addition to Andreas Klauser Bauer was the most successful West German ski jumpers of the 1980s.

Klauser was six times German champion in 1988 on the normal hill and 1980, 1981, 1985, 1986 and 1988 on the large hill. At the Olympic Winter Games in Calgary in 1988, he reached the fourth place on the large hill and a sixth place in the inaugural team competition. His best result at Nordic World Ski Championships was fifth place on the large hill in 1987 in Oberstdorf. In Ski Flying World Championships his best finish was a sixth rank in 1986 at Kulm. In the World Cup, where Klauser from its introduction in 1979 took part to his career in late 1991, he was a total of five times erspringen a podium finish. Klauser is currently as Technical Delegate of the FIS at various jumping active.
