Thomas Neville Waul

Thomas Neville Waul ( born January 5, 1813 in Sumter District (now Sumter County), South Carolina; † July 28, 1903 near Greenville, Hunt County, Texas ) was an American politician.

Life

Waul ran unsuccessfully in 1859 for the State of Texas for a seat in the U.S. House of Representatives. After the secession of Texas in 1861, he represented those in the Provisional State Konföderiertenkongress. He also served during the American Civil War in the Confederate Army with the rank of general. After the war, he represented Texas in 1866 at the Constitutional Convention.

He died in 1903 near Greenville, Texas and was subsequently buried there on the Oakwood Cemetery in Fort Worth, Texas.
