Thomas Pöge

Thomas Pöge ( born May 6, 1979 in Potsdam) is a former German bobsledder and former decathlete.

Thomas Pöge is sports soldier in the German army and operates since the age of eight active competitive sports, especially athletics. He won many championship titles on national champion and German championships level. In 1993, he specialized in the discipline decathlon track and field. The most important success of his decathlon career he achieved at the 1998 World Junior Championships in Annecy with second place. Also worth mentioning is the 5th place at the 2001 European Championships in Amsterdam. He achieved his best performance in 2000 with 7853 points.

In 2002, Thomas Pöge for Bobsleigh and starts for the BSR Rennsteig Oberhof. Until 2007 he was a brakeman for André Lange. Almost all of his success he achieved in the four-man event. At the European Championships 2005, he won the silver medal in the Long - four. At the Junior World Championships 2003 ( Bob Andre Zschocke ) and 2004 ( Bob Karl Angerer ) he won four bronze.
