Thomas Powell (ice hockey)
Thomas Powell ( born February 12, 1986 in Sydney ) is an Australian ice hockey player who stands at the Melbourne Ice in the Australian Ice Hockey League contract.
Career
Thomas Powell spent his entire hockey career so far at the Melbourne Ice, for those in the Australian Ice Hockey League, he is on the ice since 2003. He was honored in 2007 as the most valuable player in the league. 2010, 2011 and 2012, he won with his team the Australian Championship, the Goodall Cup.
Internationally
For Australia, Powell attended at junior level first at the U20 Junior World Championship of Division III in 2004 and arrived at the tournament in Sofia promotion to the Division II, to which he had contributed significantly with 10 scorer points ( seven goals and three preparations ). In Division II, he played with his team then at the U-20 Junior World Championships in 2005 and 2006.
In the men's area, he stood for the first time at the World Championships Division II in 2008 -up from their country and reached the " Aussies " here by winning the home tournament in Newcastle the first ascent to Division I. There, Powell was not used, and so he played after the immediate descent of Australians in 2010 and 2011 in the Division II After 2011 when a new home tournament, this time in Melbourne, again reached the summit, he appeared first time in 2012 in the Division I to, had to descend right back with his team, so that 2013 he was on the ice for the umpteenth time in the division.
