Thomas Stanford (film editor)

Thomas G. Stanford is an American editor who won an Academy Award for Best Editing at the Academy Awards in 1962.

Life

Stanford began his career as an editor in the film industry in Hollywood in 1955 at a film version of Don Giovanni and worked until 1988 in the production of 25 films and television series with.

In 1962, he won the Academy Award for Best Editing, and indeed for the dance film West Side Story ( 1961) by Robert Wise and Jerome Robbins with Natalie Wood, Richard Beymer and Russ Tamblyn in the lead roles.

One of his assistant editors mid-1960 was Neil Travis, who won the 1991 Oscar for Best Editing, among others.
