Thomas Strauß

Thomas Strauss ( * December 15, 1953 in Berlin ) is a retired German rower, who competed for the Federal Republic of Germany.

The rowers from the rowing club at the Wannsee had become in the four with coxswain fourth at the Junior World Championships in 1971. In 1975, he finished with four second place at the German Championships. The World Rowing Championships 1975 Strauss labeled with the German Eighth to seventh place. In 1976 he formed together with the Lingen Peter van Roye a coxless pairs. At the Olympic Games in Montreal, the boat took third place behind the boats from the GDR with Bernd and Jörg Voigt country and the United States with Calvin Coffey and Michael Staines.
