Thorsten Barg

Thorsten Barg ( born August 25, 1986 in Herrenberg ) is a former German footballer, who played until 2013 for the third-division club Wehen.

Career

Thorsten Barg played first in the youth teams of the SV Upper Reichenbach, VfL Herrenberg and VfL Bochum. With the Bochum A junior, he was in 2004 and twice in 2005 German Vice Champion under coach Sascha Lewandowski. In the season 2005/ 06 Barg came with the amateurs of VfL Bochum in the Oberliga Westfalen used. In 2006 he moved to the Regional team of Karlsruher SC. Since the 2008/ 09 season the defender when Wehen under contract, where he came up with five appearances in the Bundesliga 2. After the descent of the Wiesbaden in the 3rd League in May 2009 Barg signed a new contract, which was valid for both the 3 and for the second league.

After Barg had suffered at the beginning of the 2009/10 season a torn ACL and had become a regular player at SVWW after six -month break, he retired on matchday seventh of the season 2010/11 a tear of the Achilles tendon to what for him in the following year and a half three other operations meant. After two years of injury break he gave on 27 October 2012 at the away game against Alemannia Aachen (1:1) his comeback on the lawn. Because of persistent complaints Barg however, had to end his career and we work in the future in the young field of SVWW end of the season 2012/13.

His older brother, Benjamin Barg is also football player and currently stands at Borussia Moenchengladbach as a member of the Regional teams under contract.
