Thumba ( Malayalam: തുമ്പ Tumpa [ Tumba ] ) is a fishing village in the Indian state of Kerala, about 10 kilometers west of Thiruvananthapuram.

He is known for there operated since 1963 Thumba Equatorial Rocket Launching Station ( TERLS ), a launch site for sounding rockets that reach up to 400 km altitude.
