Tibesti Region
Tibesti is a region of Chad. Its capital is Bardai. The region has about 22,000 inhabitants (2009 ). The region was created on 19 February 2008 as a spin- off of the former region Borkou - Ennedi Tibesti.
Geography
Bardai is located in the north of the country. The climate is hot and dry ( desert climate ). The region is located in the Sahara, about half of them in the Tibesti Mountains, the highest mountain range of the Sahara.
Another town next Bardai is Zouar.
