The Tidan is a Swedish river which rises in the southern Swedish highlands and flows through the plains of Västergötland to the north.

It has its origin in the lake Strängseredsjön to 293 m altitude. From there it flows first in northern and eastern directions through the lakes Jogen, Brängen, Nässjön and Stråken. He runs west of Lake Vättern and passes through the cities Tidaholm and Tibro. In the lower reaches it flows through the lake Easts. He falls to his run about 250 m and flows in Mariestad Vänern.
