The Tiffin River is a 121 km long left tributary of the Maumee River in southeastern Michigan and northwestern Ohio.

It drains predominantly agricultural area, which lies within the catchment area of ​​Lake Erie. The headwaters of the river in Michigan and Ohio north of Burlington was temporarily called Bean Creek. Other names of Tiffin Tiffin Rivers are Creek and Little River.

The Tiffin River rises in southeastern Michigan on the border of the two counties Hillsdale and Lenawee, about 19 km east of the town of Hillsdale. He turns first to the south until it reaches the northwestern Ohio, now swings to the southwest and crosses the western Fulton County and the Goll Woods State Nature Preserve. This is a remnant of the Great Black Swamp with 400 year old oak trees covered the whole area southwest of Lake Erie covered earlier. From the village of Stryker Tiffin River flows meandering in a southerly direction and reaches the Maumee River about 3 km west of the city of Defiance.
