Tim Reid

Timothy L. " Tim " Reid ( born December 19, 1944 in Norfolk, Virginia) is an American actor, film director, film producer and screenwriter.

Life

Reid studied business administration at Norfolk State College and received his bachelor's degree in 1968. He then worked for several years at DuPont in marketing. Mid-1970s, began his career as an actor. He initially joined in guest roles in several television series such as the sitcoms Rhoda and Maude on. In 1978 he received the role of the Venus Flytrap in the sitcom WKRP in Cincinnati, which he represented until 1982 in 87 episodes. In 1983 he played Michael Horne in the second season of the sitcom Teachers Only. Notoriety during the German television audience he won for his role as Detective Marcel "Downtown" Brown in the series Simon & Simon 1983-1987 and in based on the series TV movie of 1995. He got out of the series, the title role in the sitcom Frank's Place to take over. However, this was discontinued after the end of the first season. After that, he had a recurring guest roles in Highlander and The wild seventies. In addition to his work as an actor Reid wrote screenplays for some episodes of the series, in which he played. Reid is married to his second wife. From the first marriage two children were born.
