Time Freak

Time Freak is an American short film by Andrew Bowler of the Year 2011. The film was nominated for an Oscar in 2012 for Best Short Film.

Action

The film shows John Conor Brooke, Michael Nathanson and Emilea Wilson in the lead roles. Brooke and Nathanson are roommates, but Nathanson was for three days not at home, so Brooke looks for him in his laboratory. Nathanson has just completed a time machine, on which he worked, but the time machine behaves weird. It turns out that he has repeated the events of the previous day to perfect his behavior towards a woman ( Wilson ) and a laundry.

Background

The time-travel comedy was inspired by films such as primers and Back to the Future.

Andrew Bowler and Gigi Causey decided to produce the film, after they got married. They used $ 25,000 that they had actually saved to buy an apartment in New York. The film was rejected by several film festivals, such as the Sundance Film Festival, the Telluride Film Festival and the Tribeca Film Festival. However, the submission to the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences has led to a nomination for an Academy Award in 2012.
