Action

In a not very distant future, androids are in ubiquitous use. They are regarded by the people as given and treated as ordinary tools. Nevertheless, some people are attracted to these androids, which have a human appearance and only differ by a projected over her head ring, which also symbolizes their activity in color. This was seen as a social problem. In public campaigns, the androids are repeatedly discriminated against, even though they contribute the same for the prosperity of society and provide for an increase in production capacities.

Protagonist Rikuo (リクオ) was born in this world and sees the robot as perfectly normal. One day, he analyzes the whereabouts of Sammy (サミィ), a female -looking and stunted the household androids. He discovered in the records of the logbook an unusual entry: "Are you enyoing the Time of Eve? " Together with his school friend Masaki (マサキ) he keeps track of Sammy and comes across the hidden Café The Time of Eve. Nagi (ナギ), service, receives the two and explains to them the rules of the cafes. The most important rule is that there is no discrimination between robots and humans. All androids present not wear her ring, so that they are indistinguishable from humans. In addition, always leaves the door open just one or two guests at a time out of the restaurant before it will be closed for two minutes, so that a prosecution of guests is excluded.

The first three episodes watch Rikuo in his conversations with the regulars at the café, where he most of the time with Masaki talks. Inside the café he meets the bubbly Akiko (アキコ), the child Chie (チエ) and her elder watchdogs Shimei (シメイ), know the lovers Koji (コージ) and Rina (リナ) and other guests. The talks grab again and again to those presented by Isaac Asimov Laws of Robotics back and reach diverse interpretations, some of which show large gaps within these rules. In spite of these rules, the robots begin to act more and more independent, and they are in line with the interpretation of these three rules and simultaneously see their motivation in these laws. So Sammy example, must conceal their whereabouts or even lie, because it is not governed by the laws and thus adds a typical human element to their personality.

In the fourth episode are initially Rikuo and Masaki as the only guests in the cafe and wonder about the unexpected silence. Unexpectedly enters an outdated Android, which is still completely looks like a naked robot and not like the newer models outwardly resembles a people, the place. This has numerous disorders, some of which are perceived by both as amusing but at the same time as frightening. In particular, it is difficult for them to treat him because of his appearance as an equivalent guest. In the course of curious conversations in which Rikuo and Masaki increasingly entangled in lies, and by the emergence of Chie posing as a cat, there is increased confusion and disorders in android. Ultimately, they find out that the Android was not as intended disposed of after completion of his task as Mounting a child, but only its name and much of his memories were erased. When the flaw in his logic strengthen further and further collapses the unnamed Android in the arms of Nagi and "dies".
