Tortkol (Cyrillic Uzbek - Тўрткўл; karakalpakisch Tortkul or Төрткүл; Russian Турткуль, also Turtkul; until 1920 Petroalexandrowsk ) is a county-level city and capital of an eponymous district in Karakalpakstan (Uzbekistan ).
