Todd Harvey

Todd Douglas Ross Harvey ( born February 17, 1975 in Hamilton, Ontario ) is a retired Canadian professional ice hockey player. During his career he played for the Dallas Stars, New York Rangers, San Jose Sharks and Edmonton Oilers of the National Hockey League.

Career

Harvey played for four years from 1991 to 1995 in the Ontario Hockey League with the Detroit Compuware Ambassadors and Detroit Junior Red Wings. In addition, he represented the Canadian junior national team in 1994 and 1995 at the Junior World Championships, where the team won the gold medal in two sweeps. During his time in the OHL he had been selected in the NHL Entry Draft in 1993 in the first round at the ninth position of the Dallas Stars.

For the shortened lockout season 1994 /95, the Stars Harvey then brought in the NHL, where he sat down by the same and the club remained faithful until March 1998. In a transfer business of Canadians joined together with Bob Errey to the New York Rangers, who for Mike Keane and Brian Skrudland received. This gave him already in December 1999 from Radek Dvorak to the San Jose Sharks. The Sharks right winger played a total of five seasons until the end of the season 2003/04. In the summer he signed as a free agent contract with the Edmonton Oilers. As the season completely failed due to a renewed lockout, Harvey spent the year at the Cambridge Hornets in Major League Hockey Ontario Hockey Association, before he returned to the 2005/06 season to the Oilers, with whom he surprisingly the final of the Stanley Cup reached. There is, however, the Carolina Hurricanes defeated. To the Game 2006 /07 Harvey was not a new NHL team, after Edmonton paid the remainder of his contract. He signed a contract in February 2007 at the Dundas Real McCoys in Major League Hockey and ended his career a little later.
