Todd McCaffrey

Todd McCaffrey (* April 27, 1956 in Montclair, New Jersey as Todd Johnson) is an American science fiction writer.

Life

Todd McCaffrey is the youngest son of science fiction writer Anne McCaffrey. He has a brother Alec Anthony (* 1952) and a sister Anne George (* 1959). His parents' marriage was divorced in 1970.

He went to the East Coast and from 1970 in Dublin, Ireland to school. He attended for one year the Lehigh University in Bethlehem, Pennsylvania and studied engineering there. From 1978 to 1982 he was in the U.S. Army as a scout, where he received several awards. In 1985 he completed his studies of mechanical engineering at Trinity College, Dublin, also with honors. In 1986, he began working as a computer programmer in California. In 1988 he obtained a pilot's license to drive private aircraft.

In 1988, he was also the first time money for a story written by him, he has worked exclusively as a writer since 1990.
