Tom Cavanagh

Thomas " Tom" Cavanagh ( born October 26, 1963 in Ottawa, Ontario) is a Canadian actor.

Life

Thomas Cavanagh was born the second of five children. When he was six years old his family moved to Ghana, Africa, where his father trained teachers. The family moved back to Canada before he attended high school. Later, Tom studied at Queen 's University in Kingston and made his statements in English, biology and pedagogy.

His interest in acting began with a role in a Grease - performance. He then had several roles in television films and numerous guest appearances in television series ( The Sentinel - In the Eye of the Hunter, The Outer Limits - The unknown dimension, Viper, Providence and Scrubs - ).

He is best known for his portrayal of lawyer Ed Stevens in the television series Ed - The Bowling lawyer, which was filmed from 2000 to 2004.
