Tom Williamson (footballer)

Thomas " Tom" Williamson ( born December 24, 1984 in Leicester ) is a former English footballer.

Career

Williamson played since the age of nine in the junior level of Leicester City and was on the final day of the 2001/02 season, when the club was already relegated, in a 2-1 win against Tottenham Hotspur his debut in the Premier League. In injury time from coach Micky Adams in to replace Muzzy Izzet, Williamson remained until the final whistle without ball contact. This was also his only competitive match commitment to the professional team, in summer 2004, Williamson was one of 13 Leicester players who received a new contract.

His career continued Williamson then in the non -League football continued, first from October 2004 onwards at FC Canvey Iceland in the Football Conference, in July 2005, he moved to the league rivals Grays Athletic. With the Grays Athletic midfielder won the FA Trophy in May 2006, in a 2-0 final win against FC Woking he came on in injury time for Michael Kightly. After 32 league operations in two years, his contract was terminated in August 2007 and Williamson found with Bishop's Stortford in the Conference South sechstklassigen a new club. There he played for one season before he was brought in 2008 by Frank Gray, his former coach at Grays Athletic, to league rivals Basingstoke Town. In Basingstoke Williamson was the following year regulars and completed a total of 100 Duty games. In February 2011 he left Basingstoke to go for a year to Australia.
