Tom Wolk

Tom "T -Bone " Wolk ( born December 24, 1951 in Yonkers, † February 28, 2010 in Pawling ) was an American musician, best known as the bassist of Hall & Oates.

Life and career

Wolk played among others, Hall & Oates, Elvis Costello, Billy Joel, Paul Carrack and Carly Simon. He was also a member of the Saturday Night Live Band (1986 to 1992). When Hall & Oates Wolk has been active since 1981. When Billy Joel he played with on the River of Dreams tour. Since late 2007, Wolk played with Daryl Hall and various musicians at Live From Daryl 's House, a free monthly webcast, among others, John Oates, Smokey Robinson, Todd Rundgren, Nick Lowe, The Bacon Brothers, Robby Krieger, Ray Manzarek and other musicians.

Wolk died 28 February 2010 of a heart attack. He was 58 years old. A few hours before his death he had been working on recordings for a solo album of the singer in the studio with Daryl Hall. Wolk was supposed to occur on the following day along with Hall & Oates on the show Late Night With Jimmy Fallon.
