Tomass Dukurs

Tomass Dukurs ( born July 2, 1981 in Riga) is a Latvian skeleton bob.

Tomass Dukurs debuted in January 2000 in a World Cup race in Lillehammer, where he was 39th. A year later he joined in Calgary for the first time at a skeleton World Cup and was 29 in December 2001, he was in a skeleton Europa Cup races in Altenberg second behind Andy Böhme. At the 2002 Winter Olympics in Salt Lake City, he reached the 21th place. In January 2003, he won his first European Cup in Altenberg races and finally the overall standings of the European Cup of the season 2002/ 03. In February 2004 he won in Sigulda on his home track for the first time a World Cup race.
