Alexander Gassner

Alexander Gassner ( born August 9, 1989) is a German skeleton pilot.

Alexander Gassner could make the first time as sixth -placed at the German Skeleton Championship 2007 attracted attention after mediocre success at junior level. The athlete from BSC Winterberg was qualified for the European Cup skeleton team of the season 2007/ 08. DC in his first race in Igls, he won the race. Overall, he won four of six races and also finished first place in the overall standings. For the following season, Gassner qualified for the higher class Skeleton Intercontinental. In Igls, he won a race in the series and finished at the end of the third place in the overall standings behind Michi Halilovic and Chris Type.
