Christian Baude

Christian Baude ( born October 6, 1982 in Suhl ) is a German luger and skeleton driver.

Christian Baude since 1990 luger and starts for the BSR Rennsteig Oberhof. The sport soldier of the Bundeswehr ( Staff Sergeant ) enters with his partner Marcel Lorenz in doubles. Even in the field of youth Baude / Lorenz started together. Their greatest success at junior level was a third place at the Junior World Championships in 2002. Through a second place at the World Cup races in Oberhof 2005, the duo was able to qualify for the World Championships. There, the team achieved a 12th place.

Baude moved in 2008 to the Skeleton. At the German Championships 2009 he was eighth. Since the 2009/10 season, he takes the Skeleton European Cup. He played his first race in Koenigssee, where he was behind Matthias Guggenberger and Alexander Kröckel third parties. A day later, he won his second European Cup races at the same place. Also in the next two races in Altenberg, he was behind Kröckel as well as the penultimate race of the season in Cesana Pariol behind Alexander rotting second. In the overall standings, Baude had to be beaten only Kröckel and pointed his hand rotting on the third. Even better was the following season 2010/11. Baude won the race in Cesana, Winterberg and Altenberg five of the eight races of the season and was in the two races in Igls third parties. Only in the last race of the season he missed the podium in St. Moritz in ninth. With 519 points he won with the great distance of exactly 100 points, ahead of Anton Grassl Maximilian Batujew well as the overall standings. He lives in Zella -Mehlis.
