Tomasz Łubieński

Tomasz Andrzej Adam Łubieński Herb Pomian ( born December 24, 1784 in Kalisz Szczytniki circle; † August 27, 1870 in Warsaw) was first Chevauleger, Prussian Count, Baron of the First Empire, General, Senators, Castellan Congress Poland in 1829, landowners in Kalisz and entrepreneurs.

Childhood and youth

At the age of six years Tomasz Łubieński was registered as a companion of the national cavalry and promoted to sergeant two years later. In 1801 he took lessons for a few months in the Polish society in Vienna. There he studied music, dance, art, fencing and horse riding. He then worked in the Warsaw family, including in the commercial office, the paternal uncle, Antoni Protazy Potocki, who came from the Potocki family, who founded.

Napoleon Chevauleger

In 1806 - after French invasion of Warsaw - Tomasz Łubieński joined the Polish honor guard at Napoleon, consisting of the aristocratic Polish youth. On October 14, 1806 he was appointed deputy commander. He fought in the battle of Pultusk and was courier of the emperor.

In the Kingdom of Poland and the revolt

For service in the Polish military troops he came as a major general. He got an order to regulate the wage situation of Poles in Napoleon.

In civilian life he took part in many economic and political activities.

The contractor

Tomasz Łubieński went to London in 1839 in conjunction with new commercial catches, in which he participated. He tried there to the financing of the railway line Warsaw - Vienna and was in the years 1840 to 1841 Director of Building this railroad.

1815 and 1829 he was awarded the Order Świętego Stanisław II ( Order of St Stanisław II ).
