Tomasz Tomczykiewicz

Tomasz Kazimierz Tomczykiewicz ( born March 2, 1961 in Pszczyna ) is a Polish politician, Platforma Obywatelska ( Civic Platform ).

Tomczykiewicz studied at the Technical Tadeusz Kościuszko Cracow University ( Politechnika Krakowska in. Tadeusza Kościuszko ) which he left as a civil engineer. Later he completed postgraduate studies at the Warsaw School of Economics ( SGH ). From 1990 he worked as an independent company. In the same year Tomczykiewicz was elected to the City Council Pszczyna and Member of the Board which he remained until 1998. As a candidate for the Akcja Wyborcza Solidarność Tomasz Tomczykiewicz 1997 applied for a mandate for the Sejm, but 5,300 votes were not enough for the feeder. The following year he was elected to the Council of Sejmiks of Silesia. In November 1998, he was also mayor of his hometown. In the 2001 parliamentary elections Tomczykiewicz could, as a candidate, Platforma Obywatelska, first move to the Sejm. Also during the 2007 elections in 2005 and the early elections his candidacy was successful. He is working with the Commission for Territorial Self-Government and the Economic Commission of the Sejm. He is also a 2008 member of the commission investigating the death of Deputies Barbara Blida since January.

On July 22, 2010, he was elected as the group chairman of the Civic Platform and led this position until the end of the sixth term of the Sejm. In the parliamentary elections of 2011, he became again a seat in parliament as a candidate in the electoral district of Katowice. In December of the same year he was appointed State Secretary in the Ministry of Economic Affairs under Prime Minister Donald Tusk.

Tomasz Tomczykiewicz is married and has two children.
