Tomi Poikolainen

Tomi Jaakko Poikolainen (* December 27, 1961 in Helsinki) is a Finnish archer and Olympic champion, who participated in a total of five times in the Olympic Games from 1980 to 1996.

When he in Moscow in 1980 won the gold medal at the Olympics, he was 18 years 7 months and 6 days, the youngest gold medalist in Finland. In the subsequent Games in Los Angeles, he reached the fifth place in Seoul to eleventh place in the singles and the fourth with the team. In 1992, he was able to get at the Summer Olympic Games in Barcelona with the team the silver medal in the individual he was, however, only on the 24th Place. In Atlanta in 1996, he took the last time in the Olympic Games and reached the eighth to eleventh place in the individual and with the team.

Poikolainen works as a firefighter and lives with his wife, the archer Jutta Poikolainen in Hyvinkää.
