Tommaso Caputo

Tommaso Caputo ( born October 17, 1950 in Afragola, Naples Province, Italy) was a diplomat of the Holy See and is Prelate of Pompei Territorialprälatur.

Life

The Archbishop of Naples, Cardinal Corrado Ursi, ordained him a priest on 10 April 1974.

Pope Benedict XVI. appointed him on 3 September 2007 Titular Archbishop of Otriculum and Apostolic Nuncio to Malta and Libya and donated him on September 29th of the same year in St. Peter's episcopal ordination; Co-consecrators Cardinal Secretary of State Tarcisio Bertone SDB were and Marian Jaworski Cardinal, Archbishop of Lviv.

On November 10, 2012, he was named Benedict XVI. the prelates of the Territorialprälatur Pompeii and Pontifical Delegate for the Shrine of Our Lady of the Rosary.
