Tooting Bec tube station

Tooting Bec is an underground station of the London Underground in the London Borough of Wandsworth. It is located in the Travelcard Zone 3 at the junction of four main roads; Balham High Road in the north- east, the Trinity Road in the Northwest, the Upper Tooting Road Tooting Bec in the south west and the Road to the southeast. In the year 2011 there were 6.56 million passengers these trains of the Northern Line station.

The station was opened on 13 September 1926 as part of the extension of Clapham Common after murders. At the beginning it was called Trinity Road ( Tooting Bec ) on October 1, 1950, she was given its present name.

Designed by Charles Holden station is composed of Portland stone building in modernist style. The tiles on the platforms and in the access tunnels have been preserved in their original state. Since 1987, the building is a listed building (Grade II). On the east side of the intersection there is a small separate entrance building, which is connected by a pedestrian tunnel to the main station building.
