Torbjörn Jonsson

Torbjörn Jonsson ( born May 6, 1936) is a former Swedish football player.

Career

Jonsson joined as a 17 year old from IK Sleipner to IFK Norrköping in the Allsvenskan. In 1960 he was awarded the Guldbollen as Sweden's Footballer of the Year and joined in the same year to Betis Sevilla. There, however, he thought it was only six months, and went to Italy for Fiorentina. He then moved to AS Roma, before 1967 at AC Mantova ended his career.

In 1955, he debuted in the Swedish national team, but was not nominated for the 1958 World Cup in their own country. He finished his international career after 33 caps. In addition, he has denied 1954-1958 6 B- internationals.
