Cover

The German version of the album got a different cover than spending in other countries. Reason for this is that there have been problems with the cover art in Germany several times in the past. Thus, in Torture from the outset, a different picture was chosen. The German version of the CD shows a bloody skull, painted the original cover shows several dead bodies on which they feed rats and their bodies are partly opened. The original cover is by Vincent Locke, who is responsible for the painted cover of Cannibal Corpse albums recorded in the past.

Review

Thomas Strater heard the album for the Metal Hammer and ruled: " What delivers the strings Group, is again quite large sports ( crowned by the Webster'schen extravaganza in 'The Strangulation Chair' ). The drumming is like clockwork ( and only the brutal groove in the slow abrasive blast ' Scourge Of Iron' ) even without a trigger. [ ... ] The only drawback: it lacks a perpetual hit like Hammer Smashed Face or ' Evisceration Plague ', but so you can live well and be happy with the consistently high quality of TORTURE. The editorial lingers on in the " Corpse " mode. Great! "
