Total Commander

Total Commander is a two-column file manager for Microsoft Windows along the lines of Norton Commander. This shareware program developed by the Swiss Christian Ghisler. There is also a free version of Microsoft Windows Mobile and for the smartphone and tablet operating system Android.

History

The first public version of the program has been programmed in the programming language Turbo Pascal and appeared on 29 September 1993 under the name Windows Commander.

Upon introduction of the Windows version of Norton Commander in 1998 no longer supported this some of the usual under the MS -DOS version of keyboard commands. Total Commander for Android
