Trajan (typeface)

Trajan is a 1989 by Carol Twombly for Adobe -designed font that the letter forms of the inscriptions is based on the Column of Trajan (see also Capitalis monumentalis ). Since only capital letters were used in the Roman Empire, the font does not have lowercase ( minuscule ). However, small caps are often used.

Use

The font is known primarily for use on movie posters, for example, Titanic, Troy or Minority Report, and in some television series such as Six Feet Under - Died always or The West Wing. The logo of the biotechnology and pharmaceutical company Novartis uses them. In the 2012 presidential election, the font for the campaign of Mitt Romney was used.
