Transaero Airlines (Russian Трансаэро ) is a Russian airline based in Saint Petersburg and base at the airport Domodedovo. It is the second largest Russian airline Aeroflot after.

History

Transaero Airlines was founded in November 1991 as the first purely private Russian airline. The first route was Moscow - Tel Aviv served with a borrowed machine. As of 1992 a fleet was built, the company unlike other Russian vendors only models of Boeing einflottet since 1993.

In 1995, she flew as first foreign airline to the new Kazakh capital of Astana. Since 1996, Transaero also performs intercontinental long-haul flights.
