Transports publics Fribourgeois

The Fribourg Region Transport Company, French Transports publics fribourgeois SA ( TPF ), the public transport company of the bilingual canton of Fribourg in Switzerland. They were retrospectively from 1 January 2000 through the merger of the Chemins de fer fribourgeois Gruyère - Fribourg- Morat ( GFM ) with the transport services Freiburg, French Transports en commun de Fribourg SA (TF). They operate standard gauge railway lines, narrow gauge railways, trolley bus lines, bus lines, as well as a funicular railway in the city of Freiburg in the Canton of Fribourg and adjacent areas.

Pursuant to a merger agreement dated 10 July 2000 on the GFM took the TF with assets and liabilities through the issue of new shares to the existing shareholders of the TF. As part of this so-called merger by absorption, the GFM was the new name Transports publics fribourgeois SA / Fribourg Region Transport Company.

The TF was founded on 12 January 1897 as Société des tramways de Fribourg and was the operator of the 27 July the same year opened tram Fribourg. In 1927, a community management with FMA and CEG, which merged to GFM later established. By 1936 the route network was expanded, but in 1949 the first trolleybus line was opened and in 1951 began the change from tram to trolleybus and bus. 1965 drove the last tram and the company became the Société des transports en commun de Fribourg et environs. It was not until 1966, a separate bus services was raised, preceded in each case the GFM was commissioned. In 1970 the TF was entrusted with the operation of the funicular Neuveville -Saint -Pierre in the city of Freiburg and with the merger agreement dated 23 December 1977, the Société du funicular Neuveville -St- Pierre, à Fribourg SA integrated into the TF.

The end of 2006 initiated the free TPF new Tarifverbund Frimobil.

City network Freiburg

The city network comprises three trolleybus routes, seven bus routes and a funicular ( railway ballast water ). Besides the city of Freiburg, the agglomeration communities Villars -sur -Glane, Marly, Granges- Paccot ( Agy, Portes- de -Fribourg ), Givisiez (Mont- Carmel, La Faye ), Matran, Rosé, Chésopelloz and Chésopelloz of city buses are operated. On line 1 only duo - buses can be used to drive in the city center and electrically to the non- electrified outer branches in diesel operation.

Metro cop

After the town of Bulle and some adjacent communities had begun in 2006 with the planning of a transportation network, 2009, the urban Linen 1 and 2 of " mobul " said city network were put into operation. Line 1 runs in a north-south axis from Riaz to La Tour, the line 2 in an east -west axis of Morlon after Bulle; both thus form diameter lines. 2012 was a third line in operation, which links the station to the industrial zone Planchy and is operated mainly at peak times.
