Trast AC

The Trast Athletic Club was a Cypriot football club based in Nicosia, which was dissolved in 1938.

History

The Trast AC was founder member of the Cyprus Football Association in 1934. In the aligned first season 1934/35 the First Division, the club was able to celebrate the championship. Addition, it was also the first aligned Cypriot Football Cup against APOEL Nicosia to return match (0-0, 1-0 ) are obtained. Thus, the Trast AC was also the first double winners of the country.

In the following year, in 1935/36 the club again won the trophy with a 4-1 win against SK Lefkoşa Turk. In the league, but it was only enough for 2nd place behind APOEL Nicosia. In the season 1936/37, you had to twice APOEL Nicosia admit defeat, since both in the League again just place 2 was reached and the Cup final 1:2 was lost.

Also in the season 1937/38, the Trast AC could not prevail against APOEL Nicosia in the league and finished the third time behind the other 2, but with a 2-1 victory in the Cup final against AEL Limassol could the club the third Cup secure.

Due to financial problems the Trast AC had to close his club in the First Division already 14 years after its foundation and 4 years.
