Trégarvan

Trégarvan ( Tregarvan Breton ) is a commune in the Finistère department 140 inhabitants (as of 1 January 2011). It belongs to the district Châteaulin, for Canton Châteaulin and community association Pays de Châteaulin et Porzay.

Geography

The municipality is located in the west of Brittany above the estuary of the River Alder in the Rade de Brest, deep in the land projecting bay of the Atlantic. It belongs to the region of Cornwall and is at the northern edge of the 330 m high Menez -Hom in the nature reserve Parc naturel régional d' Armorica and the beginning of the west extending Crozon Peninsula. Châteaulin located 11 km south-east, Brest and Quimper 25 km northwest 30 km south (figures slightly rounded in a straight line ).

Infrastructure

The nearest exit on the highway-like -laned road E 60 (Nantes- Brest) are located at Châteaulin and Le Faou and the next regional train station in the predominantly parallel railway line, there are at Châteaulin. In Brest is the regional airport Aéroport Brest Bretagne.

Attractions

Worth mentioning is the church of Saint- Budoc whose origins date back to the 16th century, and the Museum of Breton agricultural school.
